So when it has always came to makeup – it is something I love to mess around with every now and again, and I am not really a person that wears it every day or anything like that- Then again, I do stay at home most of my days 🙂 but I do like to play with it and wear it when the mood strikes. Lately, that mood seems to be striking me more than usual- I don’t know it does seem like it can perk up a drab day and make me be in a little bit better mood just to put on some mascara or lip stick or something like that- I am sure a lot of people feel that way.
One thing though, is that I have cleaned out a lot of the older make up that I have had over time (because I guess they say make up is like food – it has use by dates and all that- but I don’t really pay it all that much attention- especially with the make up so much-) Anyways, I went on a big clean out in the bathroom spree a while back and what little bit I had left I pretty much got rid of!
My mom has been getting me a little bit when she does different coupon deals, and I have found some on clearance at the store a few times and i’ve been building up my collection back up slowly but surely! I was pretty happy to connect with a girl who offered to send me some awesome goodies to review/feature here on the blog and help me beef my collection back up from Rimmel London & Sally Hansen!
I got an awesome variety of products from Rimmel, and I figure the best way to write this review is to just break down what I got, show some pictures and give you some opinions- especially since I have about 7 items to cover 🙂 (Plus the ones from Sally Hansen!
The first 2 items were the #Insta Flawless perfecting Radiant skin tint. I loved the concept with this one, because I have a few random flaws that I try to hide with concealer but some times it needs a little bit more. I got this one in oo7 which was a bit dark for me since I haven’t went tanning any time in the recent future, but I would def. be interested in trying in it in a lighter shade 🙂
Next up is the # Insta Fix & Matte Translucent Powder. Now I admit this isn’t like anything I have used in the past so I was like Oh I love the name and its really cute on the inside because the powder has some etched little # hashtags but what in the heck do I do with it? Basically you can just use it to get a matte finish when you do foundation and that kind of thing 🙂
One thing I have never cleaned out that much is my collection of lip glosses- and now I am actually getting into these colored lip balms/tints and all of that so I was really happy to get 2 of the Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lip colors. I got mine in the shade of Blush and Pink blink and they are what I would call VERY me – because I generally stick with variations of pink! These are actually tones of pink that actually remind me of fall because they are a bit darker and not really bright so I am really loving them!
The Rimmel BB Cream that I received I have actually used it in the past- because I am big on BB creams 🙂 In case you don’t know their BB cream can help with 9 different things including: primes, moisturizes. minimize appearance of pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens, and helps protect! I got mine in a light medium and it does pretty good at matching my current skin color.
I have always liked Mascara, and lately I really like it because I seem to always be messing with my eyes – I guess because of allergy eyes? Anyways, it seems like if I have Mascara on I don’t do it quite so much, I guess because I don’t want to mess it up! So I was happy to get this Shake It Fresh Rimmel Mascara! What is so darn cool about it, is you can shake it when you need to, that way it helps with keeping it from drying out! I Don’t know how many times I have went to grab some mascara after a while and it is dried up so.. really excited about this!
The last of the Rimmel Item I received was a Eyeshadow Palette, Magnif’ Eyes Shadow in the London Nudes calling. Now I haven’t ever done so well with Eye Shadow for some reason, and I am more of a pink person, but sometimes you need to go with the season and this does remind me a lot of fall! So I am looking forward to getting to used this one a little bit this fall 🙂
First up from Sally Hansen is this awesome Sally Hansen Hair Remover wax strip kit. Now I will tell you I have never been one for wax in the past , but with this beach trip coming up I am willing to give this thing a try for sure! I know the last time I went to the beach was so long ago I probably didn’t have to shave very much, but now.. well. you know how it is!There are 30 strips in the kit and you can pretty much use it anywhere, as I will be this weekend because I generally do miss stuff shaving, get razor burn and then you have to shave again so soon!
I have ALWAYS wanted to try Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs! I mean.. always. I mean it helps hide flaws on your legs, and I do tend to have some every now and then. I got both light glow and medium glow, so if i ever get a tan again we are good to go! I will def. be using this for the beach trip too, and it is water proof 🙂
I also received an assortment of 3 nail polishes from Sally Hansen Color therapy and they have argan oil! Of course I have a clear coat, and then 2 that are colors. The more glittery color is called Therapewter which I love the name, I think to me it is more of a metallic color. The other color is called Reflection pool and it kinda goes from a blue to purple sort of look and I want to use it for that beach trip!
I am VERY much enjoying all my great goodies from Rimmel London and Sally Hansen and I am looking forward to using them now (many with my beach trip) and then in the future too!
