I know I sure have wrote about my hair a lot lately on the blog- but then again, when you go back it seems to be always a subject that I have a lot to say about! I was never interested in DOING hair like my mother was or anything like that – heck honestly I had my mom do my hair like ALL the time well into when I was in college – I know that is weird but I never really could do that much with it and she could do braids and twists and all that kind of thing- plus I was always so stretched on time in the mornings !
Basically if I wanted it to look like something other than pulled straight back and slicked- well I needed help! Shoot, I still don’t do much different! At least I can straighten it a little better than I used to, and then I can wear it clipped up, down or pulled up so.. I still don’t have much variety but.. I am better off at it than I used to be!
Just in case you have missed it I have naturally evil.. i mean naturally curly hair that you pretty much have to threaten to get it to do anything!
Oh , and while I am still on the subject I would let my mom do my hair any day of the week – I miss that so when I go somewhere and I want something different done to my hair I usually let my mom braid it into side braids. I love it! I wish I could just keep her with me to do my hair all the time! Of course she does color and cut it (she is a licensed cosmotologist).
I really do rely on a whole slew of products to get it to act whatever way I want it to act- I am talking pomades, sprays, conditioners, mouse, etc! One brand that I have actually used for a good while is Schwarzkopf which makes Got2B which I have used for like EVER.. They also make this brand that I didn’t start getting things by until earlier this year when my mom was doing couponing deals- We just called it Gliss! I didn’t realize that they were made by the same folks until I was doing this review and I was like OH o.k wow!
Since this is one of my famous reviews with lots of items, I will just break it down and tell you a little bit about each item- that is just the way that generally works best for me with these kind of reviews 🙂
Let’s start with the Gliss Hair Repair Ultra Moisture Anti Breakage treatment. I have several tubs of this on hand!! I use it ALL the time. My hair being so stressed with being so dry to start with, and then I straighten it, and color it- it needs love for sure. You should experience 95% less breakage and it helps with soft hair and shine. It has 19 ingridents and Keratin that helps with reconstruction.
My mom when she was coloring my hair a couple weeks back asked me what I had been using in my hair because when she was combing it after we washed the color out she was like wow your hair didn’t break/come out in handfuls like usual! I was like yup- thanks to that gliss i’ve been using! The recommended way to use it isn’t quite the way I use it though- I actually use it after I get out of the shower like a leave in and sometimes put it in a turbie twist and let it soak in but that is me!
The next (last) item in the Gliss line that I got was the Oil Nutritive weightless oil which helps fight frizz (hello , i have that for sure always have lot!) It is no residue, non greazy and has 8 oils to help you out. Now it is for fine-normal hair and my hair tends to go a little to the thick side at times but I have had it in layers for the summer so that has helped! You can use it in a few different ways including on dry hair to help with the finish and you can use it overnight to help too!
For the Got2B Products the first one i’ll concentrate on is the Got2B Glued: Spiking glue. I am not one to spike my hair because .. it just isn’t myt kind of thing- My mom does tend to have shorter hair and get all involved in that kind of thing at different times- though she hasn’t had really really short hair in a long time. Anyways, I am going to let her have this one to use- I always like when I can use my reviews to give something to my mom 🙂 I do have to say though, I did smell this one and it smelled great- and it was sticky just like glue 🙂
I only ever use gel if I am trying to get my curls to do something they don’t want to do that they won’t do any other way- but that happens sometimes! So I got the Got2B Glam Force sculpting Gel and I have to say it smells great- just for starters and comes in the pretty pink tube. I actually hadn’t had any gel in a long time! I used so much cheap flaky stiff gel back when I was in middle school I can’t hardly stand the thoughts of gel- even though they make way better gel than what I used 🙂 It isn’t so sticky and flaky and non flexible like some gels I have used for sure!
The last item I got to try for Got2B was the Got2B Kinkier curling mousse. Now I have always been a pretty big fan of mousse..I didn’t really like the smell of this one that great- it was an o.k smell but it just wasn’t my favorite. I think it actually had an earthy kind of scent- I really don’t know how to explain it! Anyways, this one is weightless and helps with frizz. I really liked it and haven’t really been keeping my hair down and curly lately but this one kind of makes me want to try to do so 🙂
I have really enjoyed my Schwarzkopf products from Got2B and Gliss, and I look forward to using them in the future, and I as always hope to get to try out different ones in the future as well as my old favorites!
