You all know that I love adult beverages, I don’t make a big secret of it, and I generally do several alcohol related reviews every year! However, this year I just haven’t really been in the mood to do them because most of the ones I generally end up writing are ones for wine, and I have to admit I am kind of not that big of a wine drinker anymore!

Mostly because it gives me horrible heartburn and I always end up so hungover/horrible headaches when I drink it so I kind of switched back to beer and the “hard stuff”.  As far as reviewing beer goes, I would rather just buy it, and as far as “hard stuff” goes I don’t really get the chance that often!

I was also looking for something GUY related to put in this gift guide and I found out about bro baskets and well everything tied together! I have to say though , you don’t necessarily have to be a GUY to want this particular item 😉

Say Hello to The BroBasket:

I was REALLY excited when I found out about The BroBasket and they wanted to be featured in my Holiday Gift Guide this year. I mean really, the pleasure was all mine on this one , especially since I had managed to find a way to incorporate both of the fur babes (usually Sam being a cat I can’t get him anything) and even though I had gotten a few things that guys would be interested in, I was really going for the Alcohol angle! I have to mention though, The BroBasket has options are NON alcoholic if you are interested as well!

So The BroBasket is this awesome service where you can get pre-made gift baskets in many different varieties with tons of options like I say you can choose liquor, beer, or just snacks! You can browse by occasion, Holiday, recipient, corporate gifts and there are TONS of varieties to choose from! You can also get BroBoxes which are for the most part , more inexpensive, though there are a few of the baskets that are comparable in price!

There is also the option to make your own basket, which is totally awesome because you can pick all of the alcohol, snacks, glassware, etc and totally make it custom which is always pretty fun! You can even choose the container it comes in! So that would be an awesome option if you really wanted to get particular and spoil someone!

What to Pick, What To Pick.. Hard Decisions Ya’ll

So I let David help me pick out the items for review, even though he rarely drinks but we actually had the same two sets in mind after the fact. We went from wanting to do a Custom basket, to a couple of different scenarios  but we kept gravitating back to pretty much the same 2. I knew from the get go that we would get The Crown Collection Crown Royal Gift Set because we both like Crown. However, the 2nd one we chose was The Jack Daniels Taster Gift Set… You likely know I am a huge Eric Church fan, and even though he always sings about Jack Daniels, and as much as I drink, I don’t think I have ever had any so that was that!

The Crown Collection: Crown Royal Gift Set

I have always really liked Crown Royal, as has David so we knew we wanted to def. get this one from the start. My dad was actually a Crown Royal person FOREVER until we introduced him to Captain Morgan and now that is pretty much all he will drink so that is pretty funny when you think about it! I would really think that my dad would try more, but he’s kind of like me he just sticks to the same ole, same ole for the most part.

Included in The Crown Collection: Crown Royal Gift Set are 6 mini bottles of Crown Royal in 3 Flavors (more on that in a minute) 2 Popcornopolis Gourmet Flavored Popcorns, A can of coke (you can make about 4 drinks out of it by the way I make drinks just in case you wondered!) and 2 bags of snyders pretzels and a bro baskets tumbler (oh and the cute basket that it came in too)

This set came with 6 mini bottles of crown royal (almost 2 shots in each bottle depending on the size of your glass and how heavy handed you might want to be with it!) and they came in 3 different flavors- original, vanilla and apple. I have had a few different flavors of crown before including maple, but as far as this set goes I hadn’t had any of them other than the original.

The vanilla one might just be my favorite that I have ever had other than the original, and it mixed really well with the coke! The apple one – well I am a huge fan of fall and of course Apple stuff always makes me think of fall, I just think it might have mixed better with something other than coke… or maybe even a shot by its-self.

Here is a close up of me making a drink just for fun- I am using a different glass than came with the set because I had that one in the dishwasher!

I really love the cute little bottles and I am saving them… just for fun 🙂

The Jack Daniels Taster Gift Set

I fully admit that I am trying to save the Jack Daniels Taster Gift Set for a special time- like me and listening to a whole ton of Eric Church sometime another! Which will likely be sometime sooner than later because I am pretty much always listening to Eric Church, but I want to finish up all my reviews and save this as a reward of sorts.

Even though I haven’t gotten to experience all the different varieties of the Jack Daniels in this set I can still tell you what came in it, and that I am pretty darn excited to try it 🙂

You get 1 – Jack Daniels (50ml)
1 – Jack Daniels Tennesse Honey (50ml)
1 – Gentleman Jack (50ml)
1 – Jack Daniels Single Barrel (50ml)

It also comes with a can of coke and a the brobasket glass as well so you have everything that you need from the get go 🙂 These bottles are the same size of my other set as well.

Summing it All Up

I am REALLY happy with all the goodies that I got from The BroBasket and I love all the options that they have available, and I am really looking forward to seeing what different things they add in the future. There are gifts pretty much for everyone -especially the guys on your list (and gals c’mon now!)

I just know that when it comes to coming up with a gift for a guy it isn’t as easy and that is a great appeal of these baskets! I also think you get a pretty decent bang for your buck on the ones I got (I know those little travel bottles are not cheap at the ABC store!)

I also think that the customize your own option is really cool, and I would def. consider doing that in the future as well!

I know that when I do drink my Jack Daniels I will have a great night and I am looking forward to it 🙂
