Hi there! This morning I was in a deep sleep, which kind of scares me because I don't think I was awake when David left for work! That rarely happens of course! I went ahead and got up around 10:00 and tried to scan through my email and a few quick passes through facebook, then I had to "get to work" and get a post written! I also threw in lunch and talking to my mom on the phone as well! I am waiting on that package AGAIN. Turns out it didn't ship monday like it was supposed to, so that kind of sucks. I did sign up for that service with fedex where you get an email when someone sends a package. Pretty neat but to have it rescheduled they charge you! I guess I won't be doing that. I really do love the email when a package is coming your way though. I know UPS has this too, but I can't seem to get it to work..gonna keep trying though! Cleaning out Dvd’s
Most of you all know I am currently into cleaning out all the various JUNK in my house! I think I really do spend too much time in this house! Anyways I have been working on my extra bedroom so I can move some stuff around and make it more pretty so it can be used as an office as you all know! I also plan to work on the rest of the house at some point as well. I did pretty well with cleaning out my clothes when David was off in July during the holidays! I still have some winter ones to go through. Another area that has been on my mind since we got the new tv and the apple tv for upstairs is my DVD & Book closet! It is a total mess and it is overflowing mostly with the DVD's because I don't have room for many books and they are all at my parents house! I know I have tons of my books on the kindle, but I do like actual books and don't plan to ever get rid of any no matter what! My favorite Restaurant you ask? Well Since I don't have a picture of any of them, I will just give you a list with some descriptions of what I like. H Grill and Taphouse(It is local and I live in a small town and don't want to give the full name!)A local place, one of the few sit down type of places we have around here! They took over our ryans building(I miss that place!) a few months back. They have awesome steaks, huge salads and usually good deal on beer! They pretty much know me there because we eat there so often! and OMG they have the best onion rings EVER. They are spicy and have a sauce called boom boom sauce! Street Grille (same as above)is another one of my favorite places that is local, they have really awesome wings fries and pitas! I am turning into a *hoarder* well..not really, but I have too much junk!
So here I am after 1 p/m and still no Fedex! I am about to fall asleep right here on my keyboard! I keep getting dizzy and yeah, I do have vertigo, but it hasn't been this bad in several years. meh! it has to do with being up so long, I know it! I have been dabbling here and there with various online stuff but my heart really hasn't been in it I suppose! I really wanted to sleep, get a few things cleaned up in the house and then worry about online stuff kind of like I did yesterday because I felt so accomplished! I have considered cleaning in the closet under our stairs while I am sitting here waiting...I don't know just me cleaning up stuff I don't generally do on a daily/weekly basis is just such a neat feeling! I hate cleaning in the closets though because they are so massive and then sam likes to be crazy and get in them and stuff! Wintertime in Boone..Give me my hoodies and sweatpants STAT!
Here is one of those posts where I kind of leave the present, and paint you a picture of Nichole's days gone by. Sort of. Back when I was going to move to Boone, NC to go to Appalachian State, I hadn't really "lived" in the mountains in the winter since I was 4! I live in a pretty mild tempatured area where we don't really see a lot of snow, and where we think it is cold when it is below like 50 or so! I packed accordingly when I arrived in January 2005 though! I had heard the rumors of how cold it got and I wasn't taking any chances. Plus all the snow and wind (that was for you Jason!) Honestly I have heard that Boone even has gotten snow in every month except July. Being a true old timer one of my fond sayings is "It will snow before halloween" in regards to the fall semester! Anyways, I had lots of cute gloves and coats, and my mom even bought fleece and made scarves for me! The staple of my collection though would have been between sweatpants and hoodies!
