I keep telling everyone it is a nice spring we are having here this winter in the south! I don't even think we have had more than 5 days that have been actually "cold" and I mean even out of the 40's! I know that Saturday it was 68 or something like that- Oh, and the RAIN. I think I have even saw things blooming that likely shouldn't be and they are even still flitting around cutting grass and weed eating and generally that would have stopped back in probably october or so! I think that even the fur folks are thinking it is spring- Marley has always kind of had a little bit of issues with shedding ever since we got her, but with the warm weather we have had to use her shedding brush and kind of keep up with her shedding shampoo and such a little bit more than what we normally would- I wonder if other people around here are having to deal with deshedding for dogs this time of the year or if we are just special? Oh and poor Sam has bit out some of his hair but my moms cat has done the … [Read more...]
i’d like to get out of here!
Have I mentioned that I do kind of sort of want to go on a cruise? I am sure you have probably saw me mention it at some point! I do have so much travel anxiety in general though so I think with a cruise it would be super heightened and I might feel stranded or trapped and then i'd be so worried about not being able to get home if something did happen and that sort of thing. I know that I have looked up a ton of cruise stuff on pinterest and various websites and even was going to start a notebook for it at one point because we were super serious about going but then it never seems to work out- we just end up going to TN or the Beach or .. even worse we don't go anywhere at all and end up staying at home! I think that if we ever get really serious I might find a travel agent and check into places like www.sbtravel.com We all know that I am a bump on a log or stick in the mud or whatever people like to say , and I think I have gotten worse than ever with just wanting to be alone and … [Read more...]
Pictures, My Hair
I know that I hardly ever share pictures here on the blog anymore- or even on instagram and I really don't know how to explain why I don't other than I'm lazy! I know most of my pics do end up on Facebook but then there seems to be a break down with me putting them anywhere else. .. Maybe it is something I can get back into at some point this year. I know that I have always liked taking pictures, and I am probably dating myself here but I started out with an actual camera that took 110 film ,and eventually got a 35mm one which was you know , super duper fancy- which now my mom had a camera that was a film camera that was more similar to like a canon rebel or something like that- she actually just traded it to my uncle not that long ago to sale because he knows some people who are into vintage cameras. I don't think we ever could have imagined how much technology would change- and that there would be things like drones- which you can check out where to Buy mavic 2 Pro ( don't tell … [Read more...]
Cooking and Sharp Objects!
For ever since I remembered I always joked that I couldn't cook- I even said I thought I could burn water- but the reality was I hadn't really ever tried to cook very much of anything! When I got ready to go away to school I had to learn this sort of thing fairly fast! I have to say though I have never starved , and I actually can pick up on things pretty easily- I don't do grilling and I would love to be able to make actual breaded fried chicken but.. I've done pretty OK for myself :) I don't care what people say about me- if it can go in a pressure cooker or slow cooker I can make it work. Another joke with me is everyone says "if it starts with a can of cream of_____ soup she can make it!" I can get a little more involved than that if I want. I know that when we were moving here I had this super heavy tub and my dad asked what was in it and I told him cookbooks and he laughed and laughed at me and I was like OK really? ;) What shocked me most of all was whenI was first with … [Read more...]
Wine & Coffee Fuel Me
If you know me even barley, or you have read the blog for very long at all you probably know that I am a huge fan of wine! I think it is even in some of my social media bios- something along the lines of "loves headbands with big flowers and wine.. .because who doesn't love wine! " Wine is just my favorite way, other than lavender tea to kind of relax- well I mean if you pair that in with any combo of a bubble bath/massage and reading or coloring.. it is just super good stuff you know? With me it has just always came into me having a night time /bed time routine and if I can stick to any sort of combo of that I sleep super awesome and it is just good all around. I know that wine just seems to be my best option when it comes to alcohol - and then I can remember when I used to be able to knock out on a wine cooler- we just call those the good old days you know? If I get a low pressure system and some rain and drink some read wine it is like heaven when I sleep! I know that I kind of … [Read more...]
Just don’t leave me alone
You know how I told you all little sheltered 35 year old (almost 36) went to my first legit party the other night? well they gave me this stainless steel thing you could put a can down in for my truly drinks and little slow nichole couldn't figure out that you had to unscrew the lid to get the can in there! I luckily laughed it off and someone helped me with it, and then David kind of took care it for me for the rest of the night! I don't know why in the world I have that little quirk! Maybe we could just chalk it up to I have basic cups and tumblers at home similar to the ones that you would find here: https://www.luxehydration.com/collections/all and nothing "fancy" This is why David should also never leave me alone around people ha ha! Also? every time we go somewhere and someone that is around our age has their own house I get so stinking jealous! I mean we have went the route to try to get a place of our own a few times and even tried to get it where my mom and dad were going … [Read more...]
