Lately it seems like everyone I know has came up with a Cricut machine ! I Know that after my mom and dads wreck one of their neighbors sister ended up giving an older one to my mom and several of the cartridges to my mom and then my aunt got one of the newer ones for Christmas. I am still over here waiting for one to appear for me, which I don't see happening but if you believe and your heart is pure right? I just think that it is one of the only sort of crafty things other than embroidery that I might be able to get into, but who knows because I don't have either ha ha! I know that Jackie (My Aunt) has been using hers to decorate different things they have gotten from the pallet sales to kind of punch some of the plainer things up a notch.. One thing blogging related that I probably should have done better with over the years is search engine optimization- but again I started blogging before it was a word , and then my blog is more just for fun and then other things have came along over the years so .. I really just never got into it! I know that isn't an excuse probably for most people but for me my blog was supposed to be for fun and just more like an online journal and that sort of thing and I never even imagined that I would make money from paid articles or get things to review and even vacations and what not - I mean the first website I had was a fan page for the soap opera Another World and I just thought it was neat as heck you could get a site on a free server and whatever - never even considered having a domain or anything like that! I am sitting here doing laundry AGAIN.. I swear I just did colors late on Friday night after we got back from longhorn- because I literally only have one pair of jeans that even half way fit (mostly because it is the south, and it never gets cold and I own a ton of capri's!- but also because my favorite pair has about 3 tiny tears in the back and I am afraid that i'm going to be out somewhere and have an accident of sorts!) Anyways, right now I've got colors in the dryer and I have a big pile of towels in front of me that just came out of the dryer that need to be folded!  One thing that is crazy is David's pants are actually from a uniform place and they will actually you know- clean them for him and bring him new ones and all of that sort of thing, but David can't ever seem to remember to take them so I end up doing them as well- but I do like the idea of getting these sorts of things from somewhere that specializes in them such as Guardian Outfitters - You know get exactly what you … [Read more...]

I was just thinking about how much I miss going to school sometimes.. obviously I mean college and of course I miss certain things about it more than others. I mean I REALLY miss going to 4 year school because it was so fun and it was in Boone and all of that sort of thing. However , I even miss when I was living in town and I could walk to school and that sort of thing too! Oh, and of course I miss certain teachers and classes more than others too. For example? I never was very good at science and I actually failed Anatomy when I took it in high school by like 1 point believe it or not! It was my senior year and I missed a lot of school there at the end because my cousin was really sick and actually died right before my graduation. I actually almost didn't get to participate in the actual graduation because of it- which wouldn't have bothered me that much, but still. Sometimes when you are writing you have to maybe write about things that you don't really know a whole lot about- for me these things are usually things that we would dub as "guy stuff" but I always try to look into things and try to learn more about them just to be able to say Hey I actually do know a little bit about that / I have heard of that before- I always like to increase my knowledge when I can!  One of these things that I really don't know a lot about are performance bonds!  You can laugh if you want to , but I originally thought that this had to do with putting things together- but it is actually more of something to do with money :) See, you learn something new all the time. You all would NOT BELIEVE how bad David and I are wanting to do some sort of vacation and super soon at that!  We haven't been anywhere since my Myrtle Beach trip back a few years ago, and as much fun as that all was - I have to say that I would be glad to take a trip somewhere and not have to WORK for it :) I mean- it isn't HARD work by any means but at some points it can be a smidge bit stressful - and that is the opposite goal of a vacation you know?  I am also hoping to go back to the mountains this go around as well. One day I want to go on a cruise but that is kind of a pipe dream because I think I would have too much panic to actually go through with it and be scare that something bad would happen while we were gone and that sort of thing- like not being able to get back and yeah- I can't even think about it!  I know that I always like to stay somewhere fairly nice and I recently learned about ff e installation- I didn't even know that was a thing, but it fairly interesting to … [Read more...]
