One thing I have missed in the last couple months are my trips to the thrift shops, such as going to habitat and especially Christian Ministries- Those are pretty well my favorites because I find more things there than anywhere else and they are also fairly close to the house and everything - and I have always been a thrift shop and yardsale sort of girl. I know that most people have this general idea that as an only child that I am super spoiled and all this but really with coupon items, thrift shop goodies and yardsale stuff I really don't understand how spoiled that can make me ha ha. Also? It helps with being a bit more sustainable - which reminds me I actually tried some veggie bacon last week and It was NOT BAD AT ALL (I am a super weird child, I don't eat pork) and that goes along with being sustainable as well- you can find out more about that sort of thing if you click here David has been wanting to get a new recliner again, but with having Sam he doesn't want to because … [Read more...]
My First Party (Yes, You Read it right !)
Hey Everyone Phew This weekend took a turn that I really didn't see coming lol... but in a good way thankfully! Last month when David and my Dad had their work Christmas party I talked to a guy and a girl in the parking lot because they got there early and came over to talk to us and later on I asked David "Who were they, they seemed really nice?" Because I know it wasn't the two guys that he usually mentions (plays games with online all the time) and he told me that it was this guy Shea, and his wife (Tangela) and I was like well I liked them a lot and I actually friended her pretty much that evening on Facebook... Anyways... about everyone I know has a birthday on January 10th- Including my Dad, Jasons dad .. a friend from college named robyn, and a distant cousin in law- and Tangela. I had saw that she was having a party on Saturday and when I came back from longhorn on Friday night I had told her I had never been to a party, had a party, etc- let alone a birthday party and … [Read more...]
Hey Everyone Wow I can't believe I haven't written this week.. I could have SWORE that I did.. It must have been in my head.. or in my dreams or something like that! I know that I got bad news about my grandmeow Big Boy on Wed and that kind of just put me in a funk. We have had him for 9 years and he has a tumor... Not sure if it is cancer- I know they did a biopsy and there was talk about maybe taking off that leg but for now he is healthy as can be, active and happy and doesn't seem to be in pain or anything so we are going to just let him be and if the time comes we will make other decisions. Today I went out and about with my mom for a few minutes ...We just went to Food LIon ( I needed drinks and there was a deal) I also wanted to try that morning star farms veggie bacon (since I don't eat pork) and the sausage. I already tried the bacon and it was pretty good in my opinion! Oh and we went to publix to try to do the dog food deal again, but they only had the cat - so I … [Read more...]
First Post This Year!
Hey Everyone Well..I have been super busy doing a little bit of this and that, and totally haven't updated this year- ooopsie! I know that last week David had that random day off in the middle of the week so that threw me off a bit- and then we had went over to my mom and dads on new years for lunch. I also had got my hair colored last Sunday- it is this super crazy red color that I love actually. The weekend we just kind of did a little bit of everything including going into town and I finally got my pita that I have been wanting for several weeks! It just seems like lately the little nit picky stuff is taking up a ton of time- but i'm good with it- it keeps me busy. My favorite things lately are coloring on my ipad, watching tons of tv (game show channel on Pluto TV mostly) and reading! I have set my goal as 120 this year, but in my head it is 365+ ha ha. Of course I didn't make it last year with everything that went on + the eye injury that sucked up a lot of … [Read more...]
Almost a new year :)
Hey Everyone :) Well.. the weekend was fast and furious for sure! I know that David actually got off early on Friday.. I mean sometimes they might make it home early on Friday at like 5:15 but he was home by 4:45 so it was super rare! Saturday we ended up having his mom come over and I was like UGH ...but we ended up going to eat so it kind of ate up some of the time so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.. though I have been trying to go eat up in town for a month it seems (more like 6 weeks lol) but they were closed for remodel and it seems like something always comes up when I am going to go- and I can only go on Saturday.. but I am trying to go this coming weekend- fingers crossed right? Yesterday we went over to my moms for Tacos... and to get my hair colored. Jackie and Dennis had a ton of hair color from a pallet so I ended up having my mom and dad go through it and bring me some back since I didn’t get to go.. .Now I specifically asked for VIVID colors, REDS and … [Read more...]
