If you have been reading the blog for any length of time you might have noticed that my favorite things to review happen to fall in the food category- snacks, wine, etc. I am all about getting things to review that above all are things that I can USE and that I really Need.. then it kind of fills in with things that I really really want sometimes all that lumps together :).I Meal Subscription Boxes? I Like the Idea! Anyways, I have heard about all these awesome meal subscription boxes and they really peaked my interest because who can't use food, especially meals? So when I started "pitching" as we called it I was happy that the first company to respond to my request for a review was Blue Apron!(I have some other meal subscription boxes who have said yes, so look for those reviews in the future too) One thing I absolutely HATE doing most of the time is coming up with meal ideas.. sometimes it seems like it is easier than others, but a lot of times I don't have a clue! Then there … [Read more...]
Today turned out as accomplished
Hey Everyone Well, I ended up having a very productive day today both online and off YAY! I do wish I could have worked a little more on a review I wanted to get done but I will work on it some more this evening and tomorrow hopefully - it is one that has lots and lots of pics that I actually painstakingly took with my canon rebel t5 so .. It is going to require a bit more attention than the usual. I have some really yummy beef bratwurst type sausages that I am going to make into hotdogs with some yummy kraut and some chilli. Oh and Mustard! I wish I had some Onions but .. still yummy. I have a very mad love for a good hotdog. I used to eat them for breakfast when we would go to the beach for our church thing every year as a child! I also used to eat them at the student union at appalachian.. they had THE BEST daggone chilli and the hotdogs were all beef and.. OMG.. YUM David is preoccupied with setting up a gaming system (yes, again) so I am currently just watching friends … [Read more...]
Review: Kobrand Wines Part 2 #review #ad #sponsored #kobrandwines #seekadventure #caposaldo @theseekerwines @caposaldowine @kobrand_wine
The following is a review of alcohol and you need to be of legal drinking age in your country to enjoy alcoholic beverages. Drink Responsibly! Last year during my Holiday Gift Guide 2015, I had the chance to work with the wonderful folks at Kobrand Wines on a review that you can find here: Nichole's Holiday Gift Guide Kobrand Wines & Spirits Review So when they asked me if I wanted to review for them again, well I wasn't going to say "no" for sure- especially since I love reviewing wines so I can try new things and all of that good stuff! As usual, I will just break down the flavors and tell you a bit about them and my thoughts /opinions,etc because it is just so much easier when I do things that way. Actually, I get really excited when I get a review that has multiple items/flavors or what not because it makes them that much easier to write about! I got 4 different varieties this go around so- well lets just get down to business shall we? Caposaldo Moscato IGT I … [Read more...]
Oh 4 a/m we meet again!
Hey Everyone I could have swore I wrote up something for the blog yesterday- It is likely in the drafts section apparently. Anyways we are back to a 4 a/m week for David working - we got lucky with Monday being normal but now BAM here we are with this mess for the rest of the week lol. I am trying to look at it like this- at least for the moment it isn't permanent and at least this week isn't a time change week to boot! I know that when Eugene retires this year that David is supposed to start doing this 4 a.m like all the time so apparently we are easing into it? In all reality it doesn't bother me that much it just throws me off a bit when it is so sporadic like it is right now. I eventually work myself into some sort of pattern that works- David actually worked in the mountains several summers back so not only were we getting up early, I was having to drive him up to the grocery store to meet my dad and the other guys that were working so they could all ride together- because … [Read more...]
Allergies & Power Outages
Hey Everyone Man OH MAN this pollen.. I Hope it comes a huge rain storm like it kind of looks like it might.. I see dark puffy clouds out there and I implore it to rain lol. Also- they are out here mowing and I am like for the love of all things holy .. that is just going to make it even worse you know? *puffs inhaler* I know David's allergies started bothering him yesterday and he came home with a box of Claritin and I pretty well don't think Claritin works for him but .. he'll figure that out lol. I just know that Zyrtec doesn't do anything for me but that is what he and even my mom generally take and usually it is like if one of them works for you the other won't. For me taking Zyrtec would be equivalent of taking a sugar pill. Anyways yesterday evening I had planned on running out to walmart for a few things or having David pick them up on the way home but around 5 we had a pizza delivery guy out in the parking lot and I heard him ask if we had power here- which we did … [Read more...]

Paying EXTREMELY too Much for our old Service: You might have saw on instagram (you should totally follow me on there- if you didn't know it is my favorite social network I am @xxpollypocket and you can easily find your way to me from the sidebar!) that I said I would be reviewing a cell phone service (and well- they were kind enough to send me the phone to try it out with) soon. In case you can't tell so far, this is going to be a review for Freedom Pop Wireless. I was really excited to get to do a review for them, because I have pretty much not had a cell phone since last spring /very early summer. I am sorry but paying our old cell phone bill , which was not only my phone, David's phone and his mom's phone but we also were paying not only for the service, but the devices … [Read more...]
