I have always been a person when it comes to food that likes really simple things (I know you thought I was going to talk about how weird/picky/my food allergy thing!) but I like simple things, and then if you just put a tiny twist on something common or simple I think that is awesome! When I was putting together my Myrtle Beach trip, I got connected to the lovely people at Croissants Bistro and Bakery, and I was happy that I did! Now...I will get into that whole thing about how I am considered a picky eater -just in case you might be new around here an not now- I am allergic to a ton of random things, I also don't eat certain things because of religous reasons (mostly not that I still go to that church, I just don't have the desire to eat them), and by the time people get through that list they don't even care that I am just like other folks and have things that I don't like to eat just like everyone else- so this has dubbed me as being picky! I promise though, I … [Read more...]

You all probably know by now, if you have been reading the blog for any amount of time- that my favorite reviews generally tend to be those that involve food or kitchen goodies in some way! I don't consider myself to be a great cook or anything- I mean I do a good job, don't get me wrong, but when I get the chance to review anything related to the kitchen I get really excited! When I had the chance from Butcher Box to review a box of their premium grass fed meat, I could not say YES fast enough! My only problem was deciding which one of their boxes I wanted! Review: Meal Gifts #review #sponsored #mealgifts
It probably isn't a secret that my favorite reviews to do are those that relate to food and then those ones that are unique...so when you put the two together well- it is like a match made in heaven for me! I guess I have just always been a person that likes to be unique which if you know me- I always have my own style and my own flair for things and I don't like following the pack so to speak! Oh and you know I am always looking for new ideas for meals and especially quick and easy ones - especially in the summer! Flowers are Such a Common Gift (Especially for funerals) Meal Gifts is an company that has one of the most unique approaches to gift giving that I have seen- which is food- which I know at first doesn't seem like it is all that unique but stay with me, and I will try to paint you a little picture. Think about one of the most common things that people give for a gift- for me the first thing that comes to mind are flowers- especially when someone dies. I haven't been to … [Read more...]
Review: Home Chef Meal Subscription Box #review #ad #sponsored #homechef
So you may have noticed, if you spend much time around the blog or follow me on social media that I have this new found love for meal subscription boxes. Of course I did a review for one a few weeks back, and then I found a code for another, and I have been browsing around and looked at several. One that I found that offered to work with me on a review was Home Chef and I have to say after all my browsing and experience I think I might like it the best of all - I will tell you all about that in my review of course! Right from the get go these are the things I can tell you that set them apart in my opinion:I liked the menu options, I liked how I got to pick what I wanted, I liked that they had fruit as an option and I think that the portions were very fair and I also liked that the prices seemed pretty fair. I had a $50 credit and with everything I got I still have $10 left! Signing up for an account is fairly easy, and they have LOTS of options for you to choose from such as … [Read more...]

In case you aren't a loyal fan of the blog, let me enlighten you on one little tid bit- I absolutely love reviewing food/snack food and my favorites are those that are salty! So when I got a chance to review for Good Thins, I was pretty darn excited- especially since goodness knows I am always on a mission to find some sort of way to cut chips out even though they are my favorite snack- I know the def. aren't the best thing for me at the same time! Hello Good Thins:A healthy way to snack! Good Thins was kind enough to send over a variety box of all 8 of their flavors! Some of them are made with Potatoes, some with Rice and there is even one box made with chickpeas- and more on the way! First up I will give you a little bit more information about the healthy goodness that is Good Thins, and then break all the flavors down. Let me just … [Read more...]
Review: Blue Apron Meal Subscription Box #ad #sponsored #review #blueapron
If you have been reading the blog for any length of time you might have noticed that my favorite things to review happen to fall in the food category- snacks, wine, etc. I am all about getting things to review that above all are things that I can USE and that I really Need.. then it kind of fills in with things that I really really want sometimes all that lumps together :).I Meal Subscription Boxes? I Like the Idea! Anyways, I have heard about all these awesome meal subscription boxes and they really peaked my interest because who can't use food, especially meals? So when I started "pitching" as we called it I was happy that the first company to respond to my request for a review was Blue Apron!(I have some other meal subscription boxes who have said yes, so look for those reviews in the future too) One thing I absolutely HATE doing most of the time is coming up with meal ideas.. sometimes it seems like it is easier than others, but a lot of times I don't have a clue! Then there … [Read more...]
