Several years back when David and I had lived with my mom and dad there for a little while, we finally got out on our own again at these apartments that are kind of in the middle of my parents/where we used to live (and lived again later on lol) and when we lived there we had a heck of a time with the power bill being outrageous, and even involved an argument more than once with the rent lady /her hubs that my AUX and Emergency heat shouldn't be running constantly - we actually bought a heater to sit in the hall way to keep it from running 24/7! I am talking power bills up to $200+ at one point. The clean all the things mood
Hey Everyone Well today I am in one of these moods where I want to redo everything in the house and clean out stuff, so I have been trying to do that! I got the bathroom drawer cleaned out, the hall closet and this little rolly stool I have cleaned out. I mean I did give up on that stool but- lol It was something at least :) I want to do more but it is getting up in the day and I am afraid that anything I would start I wouldn't get done today and I don't like to carry that kind of thing over, because if the mood doesn't last - yeah. I think the mood will last though because I am just going through stuff, walking through the house like WHY DO I NEED THIS? WHEN DID I LAST USE THIS? kind of thing. Hey Everyone! Well I did get to go to the CD release party for church on Friday night- I didn't expect it to be quite as long as it was and they weren't really showing the main campus for the singing so we ended up leaving a little early on- thankfully we didn't have to sit on the front row this time- I am usually right beside the campus pastor and his wife no matter when we get there for a reg. service lol. Saturday we had planned to go for the 10 year celebration but those plans were quickly thwarted because Davids mom and brother decided to use our house as a halfway point because they were going to meet up to get his taxes done. Anyways they were gone forever and of course when they came back Alex decided to linger the whole darn evening. I’d be easy to buy for , for my birthday!
Hey Everyone Phew FINALLY it is Friday. No, seriously I thought yesterday would never end. I had this cycle of really weird/deep thoughts and then had that crazy headache and .. yeah.. Then David and I went to walmart and trolled around for a little while because I felt like I had been stuck in the house for way too long. I ended up getting a planner (finally- since apparently I don't qualify to review one from anywhere you can think of online because I have pitched and nothing) I Can't keep trying to keep up with things on scraps of paper! Especially with how OCD David is with throwing away paper- if it is an important paper it has to be tacked up on a bulletin board or tucked in a notebook! I have been using Planners since I was in 4th grade and well..with trying to keep up with things without one is driving me crazy. Kind of like not having my "office" area. Day of Grey
Well this has been THE LONGEST MOST DRAGGING DAY IN FOREVER! I got up about 9 or so (Yay, go me) but it took forever for it to even be noon it seemed! Then by 1 I had a raging headache so I laid down with the fur folk for a few minutes.. then around 2 I went ahead and dragged myself out of bed but I started just feeling like I had a fever - I was froze to death (it's at least 60 here) and so I got in the shower and then I forced myself to finally straighten my hair.. but honestly I am D R A I N E D! I went to bed at a fairly decent time last night- I actually fell asleep reading on the kindle so - I don't know what is up. Hopefully it will bug off! I have cube steak laid out to make in my IP tonight but I am not all that hungry - thankfully it doesn't take long even with prep work- basically cut it up/bread it and then sear it- add in some broth and 20 min on manual then stir in some brown gravy at the end. Connecting with Old Friends In Real Life
When I was a little girl we went to church ALL THE TIME of course my church was a little bit "different" than what your run of the mill church was- just google World Wide Church Of God and you'll likely be able to find out a few things - some true, some not true and some are a little bit tongue in cheek (there is a pretty "funny" list of You know you grew up in the world wide church of god if" and there are several I can identify with) I laugh now because going to church on saturday was so "weird" to folks back then but you know Elevation Church , where I go now has a Saturday evening service and usually when I go- that is when we go! Anyways there was a gal whose cousins and aunt/uncle went to our branch of the church and through them my parents and I got to know her and her family and we were fast friends and I know that when my mom was getting her hairstylist license and all of that- during the summer I used to spend the day with her- we went all kinds of neat places … [Read more...]
