A Little Background On Yours Truly (relevant to this review item!) One thing I have always been obsessed with long before I was a blogger is the MAIL. I don't know but ever since I was a young child I anxiously awaited delivery of the mail when I was at home, and if not I wanted to be the one that picked it up out of the mailbox in the afternoon. I also liked getting the occasional package from other methods of delivery, but they were far and few between, and the mail was 6 days a week! I guess I always liked the wonder of what I could get that day in the mail! I know I used to send away for freebies and stuff a lot as a child. All the things update!
Hi there everyone! I decided to take a few days off from "regular" blogging because I didn't have much I wanted to write that wasn't the same ole same ole and I still haven't been able to find any writing challenges/prompts that I really like either. BOO! My newest goal is to have all 4 of my outstanding reviews done by Monday (well Actually by sunday because that is the 15th) and pretty much only doing a little bit of regular blogging here and there,updating subpages,media kit, be-society, etc from then until the new year. 3 of the 4 reviews I have only had for 2 weeks anyways so it isn't like I am behind, I just want a break and I can't take one in good faith until I am finished. No worries though because it won't be like I will be far from my computer/ipad/phone. Just won't feel so "stressed" for the holidays. UPDATED:Death Of A Fellow Blogger
When I first heard the news that a fellow blogger had died, I was immediately sad and wanted to know WHO and what happened. Any death is tragic, but the circumstances around this death just put icing on the cake. I did NOT know Christine from Adventures of a Thrifty Mama, but her death and the death of her son have deeply touched my soul. I knew OF her, but never met her and really didn't follow along, but that is really beside the point. Any blogger out there is a friend of mine! Christine was a fellow blogger with 4 children. She had an estranged husband who killed her, her son and himself on Thursday evening. They had 3 children together that were with her mom at the time. Thank God those sweet babies were NOT at home and their lives were spared in this tragic event. I do not know how their grandma broke the news of what happened to them ,or even if they were told what happened. Can I get ahead? I think I can, I think I can…
I am desperately looking for some 30 day writing challenges that don't suck! It is harder than you think! I must be picky.. lol you wouldn't think that about me would you? ;) I am determined though! My main goal is to be able to get all 5 of my reviews I currently need to write done ASAP. (I have been on a roll!) and then get some awesome topics/blog challenge posts and schedule them out so we kind of break up my mundane little I woke up I was tired / I cleaned posts. I mean I don't mind writing a few of those here and there but this time of the year I kind of want to be into other things! Not that I am ever far from the internet, I just like the feeling of being ahead or caught up! We'll see how it goes I suppose. I know that when I am caught up/ahead I am generally bored out of my mind and wishing I wasn't caught up/ahead lol. Holiday Gift Guide Review: Glass Dharma Glass Straws
I have always been terrified of glass dishes and knives. I think it stems from being afraid that something will break on me in the dishwater, which has happened before. As far as knives I only use them when I absolutely have to, and I do not wash them myself either! I have luckily only been cut once, and that was last year, so where the fear steams from I am not sure! So you would be surprised to find out when I learned there were such a thing as glass straws I wanted to try them out! I don't know, something just called to me with them! It isn't like I totally avoid glass or anything. So I got the chance to review some glass straws from Glass Dharma I was pretty excited!
