The perfect summer day you ask? I am seriously having to put some thought into some of these prompts and I thought they were going to be easy outs :) Well the perfect summer day would weather wise be a breezy and cooler tempature than our typical 100 in the shade. Low humidity.. this would better set the mood for a perfect summer day :) Then from there I say it should involve lounging at the pool with a fruity adult drink- which o.k we aren't supposed to have up at the pool but.. yeah yeah while reading a nice big book :) Since we aren't supposed to have the drink up at the pool I guess we could settle for sitting out here on the patio (that just reminded me to clean off my table on the patio- I was out there the other day and it was ugh dirty- thats what i get for getting white i guess lol) So if the weather was right and I just had a day to spend outside with a book and a cool drink I guess that would be a perfect summer day for me :) … [Read more...]

Hey Everyone! 3 things that I can't live without in the summer- I find this question more complex that you would think I would lol. Things keep flying in my head and I am like nah, nah that isn't good enough think of something else :) 1. Air Conditioning/Fan/Cool Place to Hang- Obviously when it is 100 in the shade where else would you want to be other than somewhere with AC or a Fan. Sadly I don't have a ceiling fan anymore- or a fan in general but am considering getting one because I do like a breeze especially at night time or nap time :) Luckily I do have a working AC though so thats good. 2. Lots of Fluids: this is not only for me personally, but I make sure that the fur babes have fresh water all the time- i mean I do that generally but I am a tad more obsessed with checking and changing this time of the year.  I like cold things like tea, juices and waters. I think you all well know what I am going to say for the answer to this question! IT IS HOT here in the south - I am in the Charlotte, NC region and HOT is our specialty!  This summer is particularly dry- I think we MIGHT have had 3 different rain storms in the last 2 months and only one was actually substantial - now I am outside of Charlotte so it is a bit different than actual Charlotte- I am more up towards the lake but either way I think it is dry all around. I know that one of the last times I was at my moms getting my hair done- i think it was when I was getting it colored on the news they said that it was the first time we had been 98 since 2012!  and it has really just went from there.   Hey Everyone! Well- I spent yesterday catching up on posts for my blog challenge and the pictures for my pic challenge! We were so busy over the weekend i never had the chance to really get on and get anything done. I did back date them but Friday, Saturday and Sunday were all done yesterday. Now i need to do yesterdays and todays .> *sigh* :) it is all good though.. I have several other posts in mind to write, but i had to take a minute and write a general rambling one since i haven't in a few days. i had started one thursday night and one yesterday but.. they just didn't make my cut I guess :) I got a sunburn friday at Carowinds.. I think it was more like a cloud burn- you know that intermitent stuff which makes burning all the worse because you don't even realize that you are getting burned! So far I do NOT have any travel plans for this summer. I did have some that were part of a review but I think that review fell through for reasons that I am not totally sure of :( Hopefully I might be wrong on that one Other than that I would like to take a trip up to Boone/Blowing Rock/Blue Ridge parkway- I haven't went in probably close to 3 years or so! I cannot believe it has been that long but as you well know that is something I have been wanting to go for a while but we never quite make it for some reason. Another thing is I would like a trip to my grandmas since her foot is better and it would just be me and David and we could go around yardsaling with her and to the store and what not :) I just hate the trip or the thought of the trip.. after we get down the road/ there I am fine. I don't know that I actually have a summer bucket list! One of my biggest things was to try to get a seasons pass to Carowinds, and since I ended up getting in the carowinds caro blogger program (I am SO going to be writing a post about that as soon as i get caught up on things) I have already got that crossed off, and we have already visited 3 times and went to a concert to boot! I just wanted something for us to do on the summer weekends besides stalking the pool here at the apartment place to get in it when there are rowdy splashy kids - which pretty much only happens at night around 8:30 or so and well.. it sucks to wait ALL DAY to have something to do that really isn't that exciting to begin with lol. Don't get me wrong it is very relaxing and I would like to get back into doing it again..
