All Images except the top image are courtesy of Erin Condren, thanks to a camera mishap! Ever since I was a young child I have liked anything that had to do with stationary items! I loved notebooks, pens, markers, folders and all of that sort of thing. Since I always wanted to be a teacher I even had all the teacher-ish kind of things like a lesson planner to play with and I even had a teacher who used to give me all the extra copies of her worksheets /ones that she didn't use! Playing school with my friends was a favorite, and I even had a file cabinet that I got for my birthday one year to help me organize all of these things! Oh, and just for a random note I did have the ENTIRE gelly roll ink pen collection at one point until we had a bomb threat at school and they got stolen when I had to leave my book bag :( Ever since I was in 4th or 5th grade I have had a planner to help me keep up with birthdays, homework and whatever other things I wanted to keep up with. I can … [Read more...]
Review/Feature: Sephora- lots of limited edition holiday items!
There isn't a woman out there that doesn't like Makeup/Skincare/Beauty goodies on some sort of level. I am not really extreme with make up- I don't mind some eyeshadow now and then or some blush or mascara or something of those sorts. However, I really do like concealers and lip glosses and various lotions and potions! I have a vast collection of all things makeup/skincare/beauty that I have collected over the years, and I recently did a big purge of some of the older stuff, so needless to say I have been ready to get some new awesome exciting goodies and perk my stash back up! So when I was offered a chance to feature some of these items for review here on Autumn-Rain from Sephora I jumped on the chance! I received an AWESOME variety of goodies from Sephora to feature! It was one of those times where it was like I opened Christmas up out of a box (which rarely happens, but I have had it happen twice this year, WAHOO)! Seriously, just check out the preview of my box of … [Read more...]
REVIEW: Vollie Austin Toffee
I will be the first to admit that I am more of a Salty snack sort of person, over a person who likes sweets! However, I do like the occasional something sweet so when I had a chance to get some toffee to try out for review, i was like sure send it to me! Especially since I have always liked toffee. Insert here that I had to explain to David it wasn't TAFFY!When I first mentioned it that is what he thought I meant! The toffee that I received to review is by Vollie Austin and it is available in 4 flavors: Original Recipe, Oregon Hazelnut, No-Nut Vanilla Bean, and Coffee Almond. I was really happy to find out that even with all of my allergies that first of all they did have a no-nut variety and that luckily I can actually have any of the varieties because my nut allergies are to tree nuts like peanuts and cashews. Trying to pick a flavor still wasn't easy, but since I really am a huge vanilla fan I did go for the no-nut vanilla bean! Before I get too much into what I thought … [Read more...]
Nichole & David’s TN Adventure: Wilderness at the Smokies Review
A Little Bit of Background & Info Back in September David and I had the chance to get to finally get away and go on what I would call a REAL vacation! We haven't really been anywhere other than my Grandparents/a trip to the N.C. Mountains in FOREVER. Actually, I hadn't even been to those places in a while either! One of our favorite places to get to go is TN (David has a real obsession with wanting to live in TN one day). Anyways, we had been twice in the past and I decided to see how far my blogging could take us with getting some things for this trip. We had stayed at Wilderness at the smokies twice before and really enjoyed it, so they were first in my mind to see if they would be interested to work with me! Generally David and I have only went to Wilderness in the winter time (I am talking about SNOW ON THE GROUND the one time we went!) I was excited when I got a "Yes" response to being able to go for 2 nights in exchange for a review of my honest thoughts/opinions and an … [Read more...]
Nichole & David’s TN Adventure Fall 2014-Sunoco Sponser of My FUEL for the Road
When you are getting ready to go on a trip, there are a few things you have to square away before you go! It might be having someone take care of your fur babes, packing, finding a place to stay and things to do but ... there is one thing that you have to have before you go on ANY Sort of trip whether it be just to go to the grocery store or on a vacation and that is GAS (or whatever fuel your car runs on- I know my dads truck runs on diesel!). Without that you aren't going anywhere- or at least anywhere very far! I was happy as could be to be able to find someone to partner with me to sponsor my fuel for the road for David and My TN Adventure and that was the awesome folks at Sunoco! I have partnered with Sunoco a few times here on the blog and even have done a giveaway of a gift card in the past! So when it came time to find sponsors for my trip they were one of the first places that popped into my head! Sunoco is a Gas Station that I had heard of before I worked with them and … [Read more...]
Review: Spirit Lockets – Appalachian State University themed locket
It Started with Pinterest: Sometimes browsing on Pinterest can lead to an obsession! Actually browsing on Pinterest can lead to many things lol!Actually, not that long ago I was browsing through Appalachian State themed goodies. What can I say? I am having Boone and Appalachian withdrawals! So Anyways, I was browsing and found a Appalachian State themed locket and I was hooked! I tried frantically to find someone to work with me on a review based on what I had seen, but try as I may I wasn't having any luck! Inspiration: Appalachian State colors are Black and Gold (Yellow works, because well.. it just does. This is why I bought my Nokia Lumina 1020 phone in Yellow & Black!) Oh, and I even have a black and gold Vapor E-Cig thingy too. I blinged it out with Appalachian written on it too! Basically the concept was a black locket, black and gold accent stones, a football helmet and the letters A S U. I wanted to add in a football, but other than that I rather liked the one I … [Read more...]
