It might be technically Fall- my favorite of all seasons, here in the South - but we tend to not feel it till it is almost "winter" and it doesn't last too horribly long either :(! I mean we have changed temps a little bit from 100 in the shade to more like somewhere in the 80's- 90's ranges for the most part and got a little bit of dreary going on a couple of days but it still just doesn't scream Fall! One thing I am glad that I have invested in in the past was a ceiling fan but when we moved to this apartment there wasn't the option to do that sort of thing, and of course they didn't have any to start with either. We finally had purchased a fan for the bedroom because it does help with helping me sleep. I had hoped we could get one for the living room as well so when I had the chance to get a Crane USA Digital Tower fan I was pretty well doing cartwheels. I had actually taken to hanging out in the bedroom in the early afternoon because for some reason between 330 and 5 I tend … [Read more...]
[Holiday Gift Guide Review] Shark Rotator Powered Lift Away Speed Vacuum #review #sponsored #holidaygiftguide16
As you may well know, or well if you don't you will now :), David is a certified OCD cleaning freak! I will say all the time I don't mind being clean, and I would rather have someone who is willing to clean and keep things ship shape than someone who is not, but I think you have to have a balance too. Thankfully he isn't as bad as he used to be, but he still has his little routine and whatnot and I just let it be. My dad is always saying we are going to die from something crazy because of him cleaning away the good bacteria and what not ;) When I had another chance to get something cleaning related to review from my good friends over at Shark I was hopeful that they would offer me a vacuum cleaner this time around because that is something David has really been wanting ( I honestly miss when we only had a rug to vacuum! I hate all this carpet!) Luckily that is exactly what they had in mind and they sent me the Shark Rotator Powered Lift Away Speed! We have basically … [Read more...]
Review: Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder #review #sponsored
You all likely know I don't wear much when it comes to make up- I love collecting it, I like messing around with it, but in general I am just not a make up wearin' gal- though I am a girly girl! I think it goes back to this quote that my great grandfather always said "A little bit of powder and a little paint makes many an ole gal what she ain't"! So it has just been something I have been conservative with for the most part. I go more for concealer, tanning, lotions, lip glosses and that kind of thing- and especially glitter! Yes, I am a child from the 90's you can tell! I have glitter body spays and roll on sticks and just tubs of glitter to wear ! I do tend to like to use glitter more when I am tan, and if something can compliment my color at the same time as far as bronze color, I get really excited. I have some lotion that has bronzers and some glitter than I use on my legs when I am tanning and was happy when I got an Item to review that was similar in concept for me to use on … [Read more...]
Holiday Gift Guide 2016 Review: Mirage Pets Snugglebug Pet Car seat, bed and carrier in one #sponsored #review
I love when I get the chance to review something for my fur babes! I love those kind of things more than anything else - and you all know how I love my food and wine reviews! For some reason the pet reviews in my world are far and few between for some reason though! One thing that I had been looking for in particular for Marley ever since we got her was a car seat for her to be able to sit in when we are traveling- especially that 5 hour trip to my grandmas. Another reason is David is a neat freak so being able to contain her a little better in the car, and plus she really ends up sitting on my lap, this just seemed to be an awesome idea for us! Generally we just tote her huge bed with us but that is not the easiest fit depending on if we are traveling with my parents and then it is David, Marley and Me in the back seat! Another thing? most of the pet car seats are really standard and not very appeasing to the eyes! A while back I came across the cutest little car seat that you … [Read more...]
Review: Savvy Travelers #review #sponsored #savvytravelers
David and I have had the notion most of this year that we want to go on a cruise. I kind of have mixed feelings about it- sometimes I am all for it and sometimes I am like NO WAY! It isn't something that we can readily afford so it has kind of been pushed to the back burner and it is kind of one of those fun to dream about things, so that is fun! I had put out a few pitches for cruise related items to review, and you are probably thinking if she put out a pitch for cruise related items, and she isn't going to go on one anytime soon how could she do a review on a cruise related item? You just have to think outside the box ya'll! The product that I ended up getting are awesome for travel in general and some of them to just keep a few tucked in your purse! This is where Savvy Travelers come in! Savvy Travelers are these awesome little wipes that are available in several varieties that you can use virtually anywhere because they don't require water to be used, which means you … [Read more...]
Review: Cush Comfort #review #ad #sponsored #cushcomfort
Ever since I was a young gal I can remember both of my parents having problems with their backs. I know that at one point my mom and dad were both regularly going to the chiropractor... the guy they were going to had a guy who was working towards getting his license and my mom and dad both liked him better than the other dude- who we will just call DR P. DR P. was actually adjusting them in a way to make them have to keep coming back and do lots of therapy and what not, and by the same token DR W was really into helping people. When he ended up with his own practice my mom and dad have followed him wherever he has went and they still see him all these years later. He is in to healing and not hurting and wants to help! I have had a really sore upper back and shoulders thing for years, I guess all the sitting and being on the computer and whatnot- I used to be able to get David to give me massages but that doesn't hardly happen anymore! David has also been plagued with lower back … [Read more...]
